We ate on the front patio area since we had our Italian Greyhound with us. The staff was very pleasamt and the service was great. They even brought a water bowl for our Fur baby.

The pulled pork lack flavor (had to poured lots of BBQ sauce to get some taste out of the sandwich -reason for the 4 stars- The potato salad that came with was great
Good food, good service and good atmosphere! If you go when it is busy you may have to wait, but it will be worth it! We will visit again when we are in the area. Thankful for a great overall lunch experience.
I absolutely loved the baked beans, wonderful flavor and not over cooked. I had the bbq pork platter and it lived up to the North Carolina fame. Tender and slow smoked, the flavor was well paired with the home style cornbread. The coleslaw left something to be desired and I found it sort of bland. My partner had the smoked trout on a croissant, it was packed with flavor and the croissant was soft and fresh. The cider was not overly sweet and a balanced blend of spices. We shared some pumpkin roll and espresso for dessert and it was heavenly. Well worth the drive and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Loved the scenery as it is on top of a mountain! Go there, you will not be disappointed!

The best restaurant between Knife & Fork and Asheville. Quick, consistent, and a fun area to browse (especially the attached general store, and the nearby bookstore/coffee shop.) Everything on the menu is terrific.
My wife and I shared a BBQ sandwich which was plenty large enough for our lunch. The $2 charge for sharing provided us with an extra pickle and an additional side.
