I love going to Moondoggy's. All the hits from the 50's-60's. Very professional and friendly servers. AND THE FOOD IS GREAT!!!
We really like this place. We only on occasion. Good, not great food. Reasonable prices. Nice people.
I really wanted to find something to like about this place, but maybe I just had bad luck today. I got a veggie plate for lunch; the best thing was the serving of instant mashed potatoes with gravy from a jar and I ate the fried okra but they were soggy. However, the 3 florets of broccoli that had been microwaved until there were black lines on it which could be seen under the 1/4 cup of canned cheese sauce was not only inedible (I tried 1 'branch'), but smelled so bad I asked the server to take it away. She didn't offer to replace it, which I didn't push because I decided to get cobbler, sure that would be their saving grace. Turns out that was under-cooked to the point the batter was gooey in the middle of the dish and there weren't really blackberries, but more of a small amount of blackberry goo.
Stopped in here for a quick bite while on a mini vacation. Great little place with charm on the 50’s. I would say it like an upscale Hwy 55. Plenty of seating. Staff is very friendly. Food was very good. Would definitely go again when in the area.
Oh my goodness this place was delicious. Not only was it good it wasn't expensive. I enjoyed a burger which was juicy and full of flavor. My husband enjoyed an open faced roast beef that was succulent and mashed potatoes covered in gravy. The kids enjoyed their burgers and do it beer served in a frosted mug. We will go again.
