Awful! We walk up to the check out with our items and I noticed a display of chewing gum: "I Kissed a Democrat" with a head in the mouth of a toilet. (Our sentiments would be the same if it were only a republican slur). We immediately put our items back. Don't support a business with this type of unethical business practice. I don't care if you're republican or democrat! There's enough hate going on, a bookstore trying to benefit from it? A bookstore is a refuge for intelligent discourse.
Excellent coffee. Very unique place. Hopefully next time we will be able to spend more time just relaxing here instead of passing through.
This place is amazing, I loved it! Not only is the coffee really good, but the BOOKS!! There are so many books and I bet they have those hard to find ones you can't find other places. We were in town for 3 days and I stopped every morning for coffee.

Neat, locally owned and operated bookstore. Lots of new and used books on main level and in basement. Upstairs is dedicated to local artists (photography, painting, pottery, jewelry, etc.) and also the outdoor balcony. The bookstore sells pastries (cheese danish was dry and not the greatest), sandwiches and drinks (friends got apple caramel and pumpkin spice lattes- both were a hit). Bathroom is clean. Outdoor seating area is cute. Few parking spaces- be careful backing out into oncoming traffic.
Driving the parkway we decided to go into Little Switzerland to eat. But everything was closed (middle of the day?). So we stumbled into this great little book store. They had sandwiches, pop, and chips. We ate a light lunch, browsed thousands of books, and looked through their art gallery. Then we had some great REAL coffee. Real espresso! The lady helping us was wonderful and the store was a great old building. You MUST stop and check it out.
