A neat and well-preserved historic property dating to the late 1800s. There is also a newer beautiful outdoor arbor (akin to a period outdoor meeting house) on the property for events. They are open April through November so plan ahead for a visit.

Great tour and very knowledgeable staff. I was impressed of how documented the history of this place is. Loved it!

The history of the house and grounds. All the amazing people that have walked on the floors of this house.

Some of the volunteers are only knowledgeable on certain aspects of history.

Very informative historic place in Mc Dowell County.
